Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist in developing and executing production schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
  • Coordinate with various departments (procurement, maintenance, logistics) to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure availability of raw materials and resources to prevent delays.

2. Process Optimization and Efficiency:

  • Monitor production processes and make adjustments to optimize efficiency.
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements.
  • Implement and enforce production policies and procedures.

3. Quality Control:

  • Maintain quality standards by overseeing inspections and quality control processes.
  • Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues or non-conformities.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to implement corrective actions.

4. Team Management and Training:

  • Supervise production line workers, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct training sessions for new team members on safety, machinery, and production techniques.
  • Monitor team performance, setting productivity and quality targets.

5. Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and participate in incident investigations when necessary.
  • Promote and enforce safety practices within the production area.

6. Inventory and Equipment Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished products.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in forecasting production needs to maintain optimal inventory levels.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present production reports, including efficiency, quality, and cost metrics.
  • Document production activities and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide feedback to upper management on production progress, challenges, and improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and production planning software.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is an advantage.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with potential shift work depending on production demands.
  • Requires ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • May involve working in a factory environment.
