Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning and Coordination:
- Assist in developing and executing production schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
- Coordinate with various departments (procurement, maintenance, logistics) to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure availability of raw materials and resources to prevent delays.
2. Process Optimization and Efficiency:
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements.
- Implement and enforce production policies and procedures.
3. Quality Control:
- Maintain quality standards by overseeing inspections and quality control processes.
- Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues or non-conformities.
- Work with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to implement corrective actions.
4. Team Management and Training:
- Supervise production line workers, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct training sessions for new team members on safety, machinery, and production techniques.
- Monitor team performance, setting productivity and quality targets.
5. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks and participate in incident investigations when necessary.
- Promote and enforce safety practices within the production area.
6. Inventory and Equipment Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished products.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in forecasting production needs to maintain optimal inventory levels.
7. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present production reports, including efficiency, quality, and cost metrics.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records.
- Provide feedback to upper management on production progress, challenges, and improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and production planning software.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
